STEWART C. ALTEMUS was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 16, 1953.
He attended University of California at San Diego where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1977.
He then attended University of California, Hastings College of Law, where he received his juris doctor Degree in 1980.
He was admitted to practice law in California in 1981, and has practiced law continuously since that time. He is admitted to practice in all California state courts and all federal courts in California, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Altemus was an associate attorney with the law firm of Moss & Enochian from 1982 until 1987.
In 1987, he became a partner with that firm where he practiced until 1998.
In March of 1998, Mr. Altemus established a successful solo practice.
In March of 1999, he joined with Darryl L. Wagner to form the law firm of Altemus & Wagner.
Mr. Altemus has an incredible record as a successful trial attorney.
He serves as a panelist for continuing legal education seminars on employment discrimination including sexual harassment.
He has served as a member of the Steering Committees for the Employment Law and Business Litigation Sections for the Northern California Association of Defense Counsel.
He is a member of the American Bar Association; State Bar of California, Litigation Section, Business Section; Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association; and Northern California Association of Defense Counsel.
